"Three meetings" refer to the regular party member general assembly, party branch committee and party group, "one lesson" refers the party class. "The three lessons" are the basic form of party organization life, to strengthen the daily education of party members, to administrate and monitor the party members on daily base.
The strict implementation of the "three meetings and one lesson" system has an important role in the improvement of the party's organizational life, for the strict education and management party members, improve the party member quality, and enhance grassroots party organizations effectiveness.
The branch party committee meeting is the meeting participated by branch members, it is the highest leading organs of the party branch. Party member general meeting is held once a quarter year. Generally it is necessary to have more than half of branch party members to participate. The branch committee is generally held once a month and can be convened at any time as necessary. Party class is a way for the party organizations to regularly educate party members in the form of teaching. Party members shall attend the party class at least once every six months; insist the party members, leaders, cadres to preside over the class system; party committees (party) secretary shall give lecture to the grassroot party members at least once a year.
The party group meeting is one of the main forms of party group activities, but also an important part of party members' organization life. Party group meeting is generally held once or twice a month.
